Hightower Acres is a micro-farm nestled in the North end of Oxford County Ontario. By taking a biologically intensive approach to our growing methods we can maximize our yields from a minimum area of land. In 2021 we decided to combine a traditional farmers market, Community supported agriculture (CSA) program, and online shopping together to bring our customers a "Virtual Farmers Market". The advantages of this method are,
-we only pick what we sell, eliminating wasted produce.
-you get exactly what you want in a weekly order, CSA's typically don't provide this option
-No upfront commitment to pay for weekly CSA shares. you buy what you want whenever you want it as you would at a grocery store or farmers market.
-You get to buy directly from the farm without having to drive to a nearby town within the certain hours of a farmers market for fresh local produce.
